The Challenge

The Current Logo is simple and plain but lacks liveliness and cheer. Moreover it is blurry and not memorable. It could be made friendly and approachable. The patterns of alien shapes that are being used is a good call to make it interactive and welcoming. When the logo used, it sometimes is included with the alien shapes, it isn’t consistent and is confusing as to what the logo is or what the filler is.

Redesign Goal

My Goal for Redesign would be to make the brand more cheerful and at the same time be classy, giving it a balance of fun and professional. To come up with either a pattern/mascot to go along with the Logo.

Learning about
the Museum

The following are the things to do at the Museum. The Museum has immersive exhibits that promote children’s learning and development. The visits can be scheduled and there are guided tours too. It is open for Birthday Parties and Events. It has the Creativity Theater which can be booked for shows. The Museum has programs like the Summer Camps and Workshops. It is also open for Volunteering, Donations and Internships. The Museum has various pre-planned Events that happen all round the year.

Inspiration

I first came up with keywords that can go with the theme of the museum such as exploration, children, shapes , colors, experiences, learning and development and made an inspirational board to start with the branding.

Final Logo

The logo includes basic shapes that can be easily recognized and related by children.
Shapes generally are used to symbolize ideas and concepts.
I have used circles and triangles in the logo.
Circle : rounded shapes tend to send a positive emotional message. The circle is a great shape to represent the innocent and since it is readily found in nature its more relatable for kids
Triangle : The triangle is one of the most intelligent shapes. They represent the learning aspect that the museum is promoting

Brand Color &
Typeface

Colors
Young children are attracted to warm and bright colors. These cheerful and joyful colors can boost a child's self confidence.
Typeface
The Brand Typeface I chose is Futura and Avenir.
Patterns
Taking visual elements from the logo, I designed a pattern that can go with all the assets for the brand.

Merchandise

The Museum would have a store with merchandise like clothing, bags, stationery items which could be promoted during the events and programs like workshops and camps and the logo and pattern would complement the products.
I first took photos of the following items and applied the designed logo and brand patterns to them
